IGN Reviews: Barnyard (Wii)

When Barnyard released last summer on GameCube and PS2, the experience was well-received. Sure, the game was still just another licensed title on the rack getting in the way of much larger – and more realized – titles, but for a bit of gaming to go with the movie’s release Barnyard more than served its purpose. Now that we’re moving up to the next generation of gaming with Wii (and away from the Barnyard franchise as well), the game feels a bit more out of place, though it’s still a decent game for the younger crowd. Where Barnyard builds on the main game using Wii control, it fails in many of the mini-games, delivering everything form mildly entertaining time-wasters to full-fledged broken attempts.

Score: 5.8
