Smackdown VS. Raw 2008 headed to...

... PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, PS3 and surprisingly, DS and Wii. That's correct. All current-gen consoles and handhelds will receive Smackdown VS Raw 2008, including last-gen's PS2.

We are extremely pleased with the success of the SmackDown vs. Raw franchise and its continued growth to a widespread audience, particularly in our European markets. Impressive TMNT Gameboy Advance video

'This portable version might end up being the best Turtles game yet. Find out why.'

The game clearly lifts some of the best elements of games like River City Ransom, Double Dragon, and Final Fight for its gameplay. The only downside is that the game's only made for a single player. No link cable support on this one, so the idea of having all four players together in an all out brawl will have to remain in the arcade version.

Zelda Phantom Hourglass to utilize Wi-Fi

GI: Is there only one multiplayer mode?
Aonuma: Yes, but there’s also going to be a tag mode. So there will be variation.

GI: Right now its one-on-one. Will there be more than one-on-one play?
Aonuma: No. I would like everyone to battle one-on-one.

GI: Will you be able to battle over the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection?
Aonuma: Yes.

IGN Reviews: Wario: Master of Disguise

'Not a master of DS gameplay.'

Wario: Master of Disguise is not a bad game. I've played far worse, and for all its flaws this one can sit comfortably on the positive side of the scoring scale. It's just that Master of Disguise is not particularly a very good Nintendo release. Its design might attempt a DS-specific presentation, but the implementation of the touch screen elements is so amateurish with concepts that wouldn't have flown in the early part of the Nintendo DS system's life cycle. Nintendo-published games are supposed to be the cream of the handheld crop. This one's a bit of the lumpy sludge instead.

Sega Shifts its development from PSP to DS

In an interview with Nikkei Shimbun, Sega managing director Hideki Okamura says the company is shifting its focus from PSP to Nintendo DS, pointing out that there is a title they will release this year that will “surprise absolutely everyone.”

“We have to do a lot of thinking about titles for Nintendo’s hardware, because Nintendo’s own titles are extremely strong. It really is difficult to sell a title as a third party. What that means is that we’ve got to go after it with force: “heave-ho!” - Sega managing director Hideki Okamura

Major surprise, huh? I wonder what it will be? Though, from the sounds of it, it will be one hell of an announcement.

IGN Reviews: Fossil League: Dino Tournament Championship

Okay, so Fossil League: Dino-Tournament Championship is another Pokemon rip-off, but that's okay. The monster battle RPG game has become so popular that it's nearly its own genre, so there's room for more than one game. Fossil League brings actual dinosaurs into the mix, which is a cool feature for dino-geeks. The graphics are a mixed bag, ranging from the cool dinosaur models to the absolutely terrible character sprites. Still, the game is fairly solid, and it's a game that deserves to not be left in the Stone Age.
