Monster Hunter Freedom 2 breaks the Million mark in Japan
The popular Monster Hunter series of action games puts the player in the role of a fearless hunter roaming the great outdoors tracking down gigantic beasts. Players can tackle the adventure alone or join friends over a network for team cooperative action. Since the first Monster Hunter's console release in March 2004, it cumulatively shipped over 3.7 million copies around the world as of March 6th, 2007, and has been honored with numerous awards, securing a place as one of Capcom's premier titles.
Capcom has been working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. in order to expand sales of the popular series. One result is the special Monster Hunter PSP® system bundle which includes a special color edition PSP® system, the game Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and other original goods. This and other promotional efforts have helped to spur sales. In addition to console versions, a pre-installed mobile phone game and trading cards are planned at the beginning of April as part of Capcom's one content, multi-use business strategy.
Capcom will continue to strive to develop new and original games that appeal to a broad audience around the globe.

Sega Shifts its development from PSP to DS
“We have to do a lot of thinking about titles for Nintendo’s hardware, because Nintendo’s own titles are extremely strong. It really is difficult to sell a title as a third party. What that means is that we’ve got to go after it with force: “heave-ho!” - Sega managing director Hideki Okamura

IGN Reviews: Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner
While Jewel Summoner doesn't soar to the heavens with unique and interesting characters or a battle system that stands the test of the full game time it doesn't fall apart either. It has a steady amount of fun that lasts for the whole game. It's a good and well-presented distraction and for something that you hope to carry in your pocket for a little while it certainly serves that purpose. This is not a game to be held up as a shining example of what RPG's on the PSP should be, but rather a good stepping-stone on the path to what could be.

Rocksaqr today announced they will be releasing manhunt 2 on the PS2, PSP and, surprisingly, Wii. This is the first Rockstar game to come to Nintendo's Next-gen console, the Wii.
"With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established |
Let's hope the Wii sees more support from Rockstar and let's also hope it's not a rushed port of the PS2 version...

New info on Sony's Rezel Cross
Sony will release an original RPG in Asia called Rezel Cross for PSP, the game features character design by Eiji Kaneda (Aquarion) and scripts by the team who produced Arc the Lad III and IV.The story circles around the 5 protagonists who obtained super natural power Rezel due to a mysterious comet that returns every thousand year. At the same time numerous wild animals also turned into berserk beasts. The 5 protagonists were in a mission to stop the beasts, and discovered a dark force who attempts to use the Rezel power to take over the empire.
The game will divide into 20 chapters, the 5 protagonists possess the power of teleport, time pause, psycho kinesis, transformation and see-through.
The game will have 2D backgrounds and 3D characters. The battles are in full 3D, with an interface similar to PSP's XMB (Cross Media Bar). During the battles, you can obtain skill points to unlock ability boosts, Rezel Arts (special attacks) and Hyper Rezels (super attacks).
Rezel Cross (Chinese version) will be released in Taiwan on February 15, 2007, and the Japanese version will be available in other areas this spring.
